It wasn't all that long ago that Instagram was the new social kid on the block.
And I admit, I wasn't excited to work on building an Instagram following. I didn't like that you can't link back to blog posts.
But the fact is Instagram's importance kept on growing and now I really wish I had worked harder on it in the early days.
While I did sign up early on and start using it to share personal photos, my mistake was
not working harder to build my following. I felt like I was posting casual photos of my kids and I didn't really want a huge number of people following.
That was a huge
mistake.
She also said they're getting started with SnapChat. Sigh.
It's tough in this
business... there's always more work to do and new social channels where we need to build followings.
I continue to hear from brands and businesses that they are focusing more and more on Instagram.
And I'm surprised to say that I am enjoying using Instagram more these days.
